TRANSART provides year-round programming that builds communities, addresses critical social issues and takes advantage of new resources to infuse art and culture into the life of the Hudson River Valley. We celebrate the art and culture of people of African descent through exhibitions and performances featuring artists of international renown and introduce local talent to multi-generational audiences. Our educational focus includes arts-based after-school programs, curriculum-based arts-in-education programs and staff development for schools. Our multicultural perspectives inform local initiatives in fields ranging from historic preservation to economic development.
