Nothing in Africa can be mentioned without understanding
its style of communication and its relationship to all people and
the universe. This exhibit examines the traditional relationships
of a culture based on cosmology, mythology, oral tradition and art.
It illustrates the power of words and symbols. Language is an art;
writing is an art; imaging is an art (making pictures, sculptures,
tapestries) in traditional Africa all these are functional and in
this exhibit can be enjoyed. |
